PRRT (pronounced “pert”), is a manual-therapy approach for musculoskeletal pain relief. Proven effective in over 80% of patients, PRRT accomplishes in seconds what other therapies can only accomplish over time. PRRT is based on the premise that over-stimulation of the body’s primal reflexes creates pain and keeps a painful pattern occurring long after the triggering event has passed.
This drug-free and non-invasive treatment is beneficial for motor vehicle accidents, PTSD, and other trauma when the fight or flight response has been overstimulated. It is also beneficial for musculoskeletal pain, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, post surgeries, neck, and back pain. In addition, it will give the patient self-treatment tools long after therapy.
The pelvic floor includes the layers of muscles inside your pelvis that accomplish several functions including holding in and releasing urine and feces, supporting surrounding organs and aiding in sexual function. Pelvic Floor Dysfunction encompasses many disorders of the pelvic floor muscles, but can also include the local and surrounding nerves, joints and organ systems.
Our pelvic floor specialist, Dharni Nathwani can establish a personalized treatment program to address your symptoms. We work to improve your quality of life by relaxation techniques, pelvic floor exercises, bladder retraining, and home programs, among other interventions.
